Are you looking for a place to worship?
The Episcopal churches listed are "welcoming and affirming" of transgender, bisexual, lesbian and gay people and their families, inviting them to share in the life of the church. They encourage TBLG persons to participate in all aspects of the ministry of the church: by bearing witness to Christ, according to the gifts given them; carrying out Christ's work of reconciliation to the world; and taking their place in the life, worship, and governance of the Church.

The Episcopal Church is part of the world-wide Anglican (i.e., Church of England) Communion of churches. We are Eucharistic-centered and regard Scripture, tradition, and reason as authoritative in our moral decision-making.

The congregations listed in this site are all located in the Diocese of Michigan, which includes the communities of southeast Michigan. Please see the church website for information about service times.

Episcopal Bishop's quote
"For me, homosexuality is not primarily a cause or an issue: it is a matter of men and women I know, respect and love, and whose lives bear ample witness to the fruits of the Spirit; ... people with whom I have shared ministry and friendship, whose many gifts have enriched my life and continue to bless and build up the Church."

-The Rt. Rev. Frank T. Griswold
XV Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church
