Human Rights Campaign
The Human Rights Campaign is America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve
lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC
strives to end discrimination against LGBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves
fairness and equality for all.
PFLAG promotes the health and wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons,
their families and friends through support: to cope with an adverse society; education: to
enlighten an ill-informed public; and advoocacy: to end discrimination and to secure equal
civil rights. Parents, families and friends of lesbians and gays provide opportunity for
dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and act to create a society that is
healthy and respectful of human diversity.
Affirmations provides a welcoming place to everyday people, where they can have fun, learn,
socialize, grow, be supported and find acceptance in the Michigan LGBT community. Affirmations
is based in Ferndale.
